I understand the rationale behind it, but its not good. This is what happens when there is no competition and no real control from the government.

The company is highly regulated by the state so anything they propose will have to review first. I never thought of electric utilities as trying to give us the shaft, unlike cable or wireless operators. I hope the state is monitoring them appropriately.
