Oregon looks a lot like Topsfield...
Say what you will about Fraser, I find his work entertaining, but it does bug me that the film is being made here but is set in Oregon. This isn't Oregon at all! Just a small vexation, I think. Same goes for that Mall Cop flick, filmed in Burlington, apparently set in New Jersey...
It does?
Well, maybe a small part of the Willamette Valley sort of does ... if you ignore the granite outcroppings and the lack of tall trees and soil ... and that Oregon is larger than all of New England put together and has multiple varied climate zones.
I wonder why they are filming it here ... other than the tax breaks. It isn't like movies haven't been filmed in Oregon, such as Goonies or Stand By Me or all those Gus Van Sant films done in the abandoned warehouse area known as the Pearl District before it became reinhabited and recycled as upscale housing.
