Quite a yarn: The story behind the South End bike-rack cozy
By adamg on Wed, 05/27/2009 - 7:31pm
Stacey reports on the knitted flowers that she and fellow members of a local knitting group made to adorn a bike rack on Carleton Street in the South End.
Also, for those who don't travel in online knitting circles, apparently they can be as ranty and flame-filled as every other discussions - as you'll see if you click on the first link and read the entire debate about whether the flowers are litter or not (really? yes, really).

Obey
Does that mean the knitted flowers are the yarn-based equivalent of Andre the Giant posters?
Knitters
... tend to be a crochety bunch.
That there...
...is a pearl of wisdom.

Adam Gaffin = "some random person"
Your 15 minutes of fame are over, Adam-the-random-person. And Mike Mennonno, too.

If so, when does anon get to the part with the fireworks and raw meat?
The debate
I think one or two users just couldn't figure out which door housed the argument department. After reading through that stupidity, I really do get an appreciation for two things: 1) the informed discussion in the comments here compared to other internet discussion sites, and 2) I'm reminded again why even though I seem to have accounts on nearly every other website in the world, I still don't have one for LiveJournal.
