Street closing
Just to avoid confusion and wide spread panic, Beacon Street is not closed all day, only during the parade, which I'm guessing should be about 1/2 hour -- 15 minutes eastbound, then 15 minutes westbound.

Ah yes....
Much like flatulence after a full plate of beans, so comes the snarky wingnut comment from our little Willy the Tulip. The street is closed for less than an hour…on a Sunday! The Marathon closes 26.2 miles for a day. First Night closes Boylston for the afternoon. And if we are lucky enough, we will have closed streets to honor the Sox and the Patriots this year. "Inconvenience motorists"?? Do you speed up when you see the elderly and handicapped in crosswalks?
