And no doubt the joint will be throbbing. Joel Brown gets the, um, scoop (yes, we will now go wash our minds out with soap).

Where's Ron Newman?
Where's Ron Newman when you need him? I would have thought he would have already commented. It's called the "Citi Performing Arts Center". Or are you boycotting that name?
I, myself, prefer calling it "the old Metropolitan".
I call it the Wang Theatre
and so does everyone else I know. I see no reason to acknowledge the 'Citi' name, especially since the bank seems to be mismanaging the properties.
I might not have posted about it if it were the Citi PAC
I mean, how often do you get to throw in semi-obscure band references, especially a pair that have been rattling around inside your head, crowding out more useful information, for all of your adult life?
Our inner 5th graders are beside themselves with mirth
This is just as good as back when we had ads for The Nutcracker at the Wang.
Suggested Encore
They could do a series of covers: Turning Japanese, Dancing With Myself ...
Anybody else ever attend child birthday parties at Chuck Yer Cheese when the giant grinning rodent would run around to "Turning Chucky Cheeze"?
"Turning Chucky Cheese"?!
Dear.
God.
NO.
(Throw in She Bop, Jackson Browne's "Rosie" and Blister in the Sun, and you've got yourself a hell of an encore set.)
Can they do covers?
There really oughtta be some Cream and Lovin' Spoonful songs played.
Everybody knows
You can't beat the Wang for entertainment!
WBZ Radio used to run ads for the Nutcracker...
"Just dial 1-800 Pound Wang!" Just gets funnier every time you hear it...
"Pound Wang on your Verizon cellphone"
Swear I nearly ran off the road the first time I heard that ad, I was laughing so much.
Awesome. I've been waiting
Awesome. I've been waiting for them to announce some Boston area tour dates. Sounds like an interesting tour.
1. It will always be The
1. It will always be The Music Hall to me
2. I saw 10cc in Cambridge in the 1970s. Got some nice photos. Cannot remember where. Where was it? Anyone? Anyone? It was the 'Rubber Bullets' era
possible 1970s concert venues in Cambridge
Could have been the Harvard Square Theatre, which at the time was a single screen and was sometimes used for concerts.
I also vaguely recall a performance hall in (above? below?) the Garage in Harvard Square. I don't remember its name.
If we're talking about clubs rather than concert halls, perhaps Jacks on Mass. Ave. between Harvard and Central squares? Or Jonathan Swift's or the Idler in Harvard Square?
I think you've got it
I'm going to have to go with The Garage. It sounds right.
(Paradise? Performance Center? Something that begins with a P?)
Performance Center?
I thought it might be Performance Center, but the total lack of any Google hits whatsoever for that name made me uncertain.
It pains me to squelch our inner 12-year-olds...
...but the urban legend about 10cc's name is BS.
The sad, not terribly interesting, truth is that Jonathan King (the semi-legendary UK music biz hustler who first signed the band) had a dream where he was standing outside the Wembley under a marquee that said "The best band in the world: 10cc." So he suggested that name to the band, who had previously been known as Hotlegs. Which is an even worse name than 10cc.
10cc
Not having a dirty enough mind, I always thought it had something to do with motorcycles.
That's a tiny motorcycle!
Scooters are 30-50cc, with motorcycles going up from there. Husband's bike is considered to be small at 150cc!
BTW, check out the wiki article on 10cc - apparently some members of the ensemble deny the 10cc meaning, but others have copped to it.
The Garage - Performance Center-Harvard Sq.
The name of the place in "The Garage" was the Performance Center. There were two rooms that had music--Bonnie Raitt opened the place and had her guitar stolen. Lots of acts: Buddy Guy and Junir Wells, Loundon Wainright, Eric Burdon and the Animals, etc. played the place
