What do women have against grilled cheese?
Let's pretend, for a second, that strange men are actually writing the Globe's "relationship trends" editor, Meredith Goldstein, to ask whether they should marry women who refuse to partake in sexual behavior so risque that Goldstein can't bear to mention it in public. And let's set aside, for another second, the thought that if said practice is so squicky, isn't it kind of odd for Goldstein to be bringing it up in her column? Because if we dwelled on such thoughts too long, we couldn't savor this classic advice answer:
A: NGC, have you talked to this woman about why she's so opposed to grilled cheese? Do her reasons seem valid and specific (past trauma, health issues, etc.)? Is there any room for negotiation? Has she always been opposed to grilled cheese or is it just specific to you?
And we wouldn't be able to relish the thought of Meredith Goldstein interviewing Dennis Eckersley about easy cheese and salad.
