I've been to the Marliave
I've been to the Marliave since it re-opened, and I have to say it was quite a change from the old red-sauce days. Very hip, classy cocktails, food not bad. Hopefully brighter days are ahead for Downtown Crossing now that 45 Province is complete. But what about the Littlest Bar? The space still seems to be there. Bring it back!
I miss the red sauce version of Marliave
I was so bummed when the tax man nailed Marliave a few years back, because I enjoyed their back to basics, tasty plates of food. I went there a lot -- it was a good place to treat someone to a nice but affordable lunch.
I hope the food is still good and not too pricey.
Not too pricey
Above foodie reports spending $25.00 for a couple of (apparently generous) sandwich plates and a soda. Really not bad for a lunch in town.
For the rest of it, their menu is online. Natch.
i have been there recently as well
I was with a group of 5 and we all really enjoyed it. We ate in the more casual dining room ... it was comfortable but still classy, the food was delicious, and the cocktails were fun. Looking forward to going back.
Marliave: sounds good!
Fenway and jlb, good review & info -- thank you! -- I look forward to giving them a visit soon.
