Why traffic might have been even worse through Forest Hills this morning

Centre St, VFW Parkway, etc. too?
Traffic was a complete disaster on Centre St near the Faulkner, and backed up on the VFW Parkway inbound all the way to the West Roxbury Parkway. The West Roxbury Parkway and South St. going up towards Putterham were a mess too (presumably from people trying to go around the VFW/Centre disaster). Surely that couldn't have all been caused by an accident on the Arborway near Forest Hills. Was anything else up this morning?
Centre St. traffic is tough
That wouldn't really surprise me. Traffic regularly backs up on Centre St. almost to the Faulkner, and this would have created a big bottleneck of cars waiting to get off the Arborway at Forest Hills. It doesn't take much. Of course, most people wouldn't know about it until they got stuck in it, because traffic reports don't pay much attention to city streets. You mean people actually live in Boston?

Back when I still listened to traffic reports, it would always amaze me when they'd talk about some backup on Rte. 6 or the Bourne bridge - in the winter. But you'd never hear anything about the VFW Parkway.
