I love the villiage
Maybe I'm biased because I live near the Square (or Villiage to some) but its awesome and I'm glad this person thinks so too. The farmer's market is just the tip of the iceburgh. Anyone who goes to the market should definately take a stroll around to the bakeries, butchers (yes, plural), fish monger, cheese shop, restaurants, book store, and other cool shops. The most recent addition is an ice cream place on Corinth St. that sells lime rickeys.
And lobster rolls
Can't forget the lobster rolls at the new ice cream shop.
And...
Never forget the highlight of the square - the Bay State Model RR Museum (open houses every first Sunday in December and first weekend in March). Pop up on a Wed night and there will be people working - no guarantees trains will be running though.

Model Railroad Engineers
They've built some really amazing layouts, and some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. It's one of the many treasures in Rozzy Square.
I live in JP and I have been
I live in JP and I have been going every couple of weeks to do most of my grocery shopping in Roslindale Sq. I go to the butcher, the wine store, the middle-eastern grocery, Fornax, and the cheese shop and I have pretty much everything I need for a few days--and when I figure it all together it's about as much as going to the grocery store and a whole lot more pleasant.
