Google, Apple apparently team up to show iPhone users the effects of global warming

I was trying to browse the North Shore with my iPod touch last night, and the shoreline wasn't making sense. The Google Maps app for the iPhone seems to have inundated shorelines. Was wondering if it was just me, but I confirmed it with a friend with an iPhone. Web version of Google Maps is OK.

The maps for Cape Cod are the same way - roads on the Atlantic side have been 'flooded' by Google Maps.

Yup, Window Mobile too
I've seen the same thing on my installation of Google Maps on my WM device. I didn't realize it only happened in the mobile version though. Pretty funny.
