Adam, you're throwing darts at the wrong guys
The Blue Angels are F/A-18 Hornets operated by the U.S. Navy. The Air Force show planes are the Thunderbirds (F-16s). But it will be irrelevant if the fog doesn't lift because there will be no photos (or flyover) in this weather.
Secondly, this is a recruiting exercise. The Navy learned the lesson from Top Gun very well - if you get you equipment out there for people to see, some will take an interest.
I'm an idiot
Changed from Air Force to navy.
No prob.
Don't be so hard on yourself. With all these posts, something is bound to go wrong. I wouldn't have even said anything but for the fact it was in the headline. But then you would have had to contend with riggs anyway. oh, well.
Don't you dare composite the Blue Angels with PhotoShop
The tone of the title is a ambiguous, so just to be clear...
The Blue Angels do things that are amazing in part because it's *not* PhotoShopped.
Just on principle, I wouldn't let PhotoShop anywhere near their images, except to tweak the exposure and crop, even for promotional images.
(Sadly, my long lens is in storage, so I won't be able to sneak a few shots myself today.)
1) Blue Angels are Navy, not
1) Blue Angels are Navy, not Air Force.
2) Weren't all the Photoshop jokes played to death when the entire city of New York cried because a plane flew. In the air.
?
3) The military will only ever call a fly-over like this a photo shoot and not a training exercise, because it's the policy of the military to never confirm anything they don't need to.
Good Luck
Looks like the Fog Days of Summer might interfere with their plans.
This is one of the times that I regret that my employer moved from the Navy Yard.
Canceled

Aw, too bad.
But on the bright side, that means three fewer "OMG WHY ARE THERE PLANES FLYING OVERHEAD?!?!!?!!!!!!" posts to the b0st0n LJ community.
