Can judges who get public pensions rule fairly on lawsuits involving public pensions?

Interesting point. But who meets both of the following criteria?
1. Competent to rule on issues such as this.
2. Does not receive a public pension.

and judges don't contribute

and judges don't contribute a dime towards their own pensions. kind of an important fact left out of the story...
