Neal Gaffey photographs a New York City taxi at West Concord and Tremont in the South End - the second time he's seen an NYC cab in that area.

Good Question
At the site with the photograph, someone asks if this cab actually has a New York City hack license or if it might be a local cab weirdly named. That was my thought, too.

Nobody would willingly steal that logo

Ah!
Thank you, Neilv! I did a short search on Google, but didn't come up with anything definitive. I appreciate the answer.

More than likely
It's more than likely that this cab is in use for a movie production where the scene is supposed to take place in NYC.
Or ...
Somebody got seriously lot on the way to Suffolk County ...
That's what I was thinking
when I saw the first one months back. Come to think about it, it was probably about a year ago when I saw it before, that time it was parked on Tremont in the same area and was there for a few days. I first noticed it this time on Sunday night and photographed it yesterday morning. My guess is that a NY cabbie has a friend or relative who lives in the area and drives up every so often.
