Channel 4 reports the Commonwealth has filed a lawsuit against the federal law that defines marriage as the union of a man and a woman.

It will be interesting to watch this one work it's way up to SCOTUS. Will it place the Obama administration in the awkward position of arguing on behalf of DOMA? That's interesting from a political angle, but more interesting to me is how the court will rule. I've always thought that Massachusetts and now subsequently 5 more states would bust this issue open nationwide by means of the full faith and credit clause. Now we get to find out whether that theory holds true.
