GM might want to consider bringing its salesmen into the 21st century before it's too late

With a third kid on the way, Miguelina needs a larger vehicle. She can't really deal with the idea of a mini-van, so she and husband go looking for a crossover - at a GM dealership:
... The scruffy Chevy salesman still had the balls to tell me that the Chevy Traverse is a great "girl car" AND then he took my husband out back for a little talk, about what, I don't know. Probably about how "girls" aren't welcome at Chevy dealers? And, hey! Let's take a look at our shiny Camaros? My husband kept looking back at me nervously, because he knew I was pissed AND he knew that it was over. Because I'm a mean "girl." ...

Lighten up
I get the sense that the husband is "nervous" a lot. Like walking on eggs . . .
Amen.
Amen.
With that kind of chip on
With that kind of chip on her shoulder, I'm surprised she went to a Chevy dealer at all. But in the spirit of trying to help out, I recommend she look into the Mazda 5.
4WD is overrated anyway
You don't need 4WD unless you work in a profession where peoples' lives depend on your ability to show up for work in a blizzard, or you're the person who drives the snowplow. Really.
I haven't seen anything yet that front wheel drive couldn't get through, and if it does get that bad? stay home until the plows have a chance to do their job.
WRONG, WRONG, WRONG...
... only because a number of towns around here don't plow (or don't plow much). Yeah, Belmont, I'm looking at you.
Going from a FWD to an AWD vehicle means that I can climb the Arlington / Belmont ridge when it's snowing. I couldn't before. And I strongly recommend it if you are responsible for transporting your child to [doctor, daycare, preschool] on a regular basis.
Of course, I like minivans, and I bought my Sienna while HerrDoktor Toaster was away on a business trip.
