Golden line
Don Martelli takes some video of people lining up outside a TD BankNorth branch waiting for some of the handouts of 19,600 candy bars - five of which will contain "golden tickets" for a tour of the garden and the chance to win season tickets to every single Garden event in the upcoming season.
MBTA Transit Police report the line is causing no problems for people who just want to catch a train at North Station.
Bogus
Since when did the Garden move to the Financial District? I don't know what these folks are waiting for, but it ain't the Garden. I can see the view from my office and they are cuing across the Charlestown Bridge
Franklin street TD
Franklin street TD Banknorth; they were also handing them out.
Only 300 thought, and they didn't tell everyone else in line untill you got around the corner. grrr.

I waited in line for 2 hours. No, I didn't win.

I went to the bank branch in Arlington
Got in line around 11:50. By the time they opened the doors at noon, there were maybe 100 people waiting. The bank staff handled it very efficiently, and I was out of there by 12:07. Didn't win anything, but at least one other person there won free tickets to the circus.
We couldn't get out of the building
The line wrapped around and the doors have to open out by law and people would NOT get out of the way.
The security guys went out and kept people free of the doors.
BTW, that is NOT the TD garden - that is 75 Federal St. where there is a TD branch!!!
