As a male Sox fan, I'll never understand the backlash against the new wave of early-20's women who profess to be Red Sox fans these days. Sure, some of them are only in it for the scene and wear ridiculous sororitized Sox paraphernalia...but I'm fine with the influx of eye-candy around Fenway and at the sports bars.

"Hey sweetie, you like Jacoby? Wow, me too! What a coincidence! Let me buy you a beer." Ect.

I'm with you my friend - let's stop all this anti-pink misogyny!

I was expecting to see maybe matching pink hats and panty-bra sets. Now we're talkin'.

are angry guys (or the women who co-exist with them)... or they're insecure fans who want to burnish their baseball-purist credentials by mocking something which, oddly, has no effect on the product on the field.

I'm not bothered by the hats so much as what they might represent, which is people who maybe don't really know much about baseball but go to the games to be cool. Personally, I doubt many in that category go very often, and most of the pink hats are real fans. You won't catch my wife wearing one, but that's mainly because the hats are not authentic. When Tim Wakefield steps on to the mound wearing a pink hat, then she'll want one, but not before then.

Pink plays for the Red Sox?

Honestly, Nobody Knows. The clubhouse is like a reverse Funhouse, all the players are Sober and there's a Bad Influence in the air. Most Girls are Stupid Girls who are Just Like A Pill when it comes to baseball. Don't Let Me Get Mean about it but Who Knew that Pink could play? Tito was positively the Last To Know. All I know is that the team is in Trouble. So, I say anything to Get The Party Started on offense. Even if it means bringing in Pink to hit.

So, There You Go. Put her in the Red Sox Family Portrait and kickstart this team again. God is a DJ and we're all just fans at this point. If he's suggesting we put Pink in then write to Jerry Remy and say, "Dear Mr. President of Red Sox Nation, we need Pink on our team!"

And when you realize what I've done here today, you're gonna be all "You Make Me Sick", but Leave Me Alone. I did it Cuz I Can.

Here's a link in case you haven't figured it out yet.

It appears you've reduced the indent for replies to help avoid the right margin over-runs when you get to about the 10th back-and-forth.

In my opinion, I think you went a little too far in the opposite direction now. I have a really, really hard time determining if things are replies to a child or a parent above it because there's just not enough pixels to discriminate between the two.

Maybe instead we could just change the etiquette here so that instead of replying to a post that's already pretty smooshed, the person starts a new reply to the original post with the title "re: {previous poster's subject line}" and continue on with a fresh indent. Most people could probably follow that and would allow you to leave the old indentations where it was much clearer what the thread structure was.

Right now, I'm killing myself on a high-rez, 19" screen trying to figure out who's responding to whom.

I'll sprinkle some indent dust on things.

I'm also (finally) working on upgrading the software here. The current templates won't work with the new software without a lot of work, so rather than do that, I've started working on a new template set designed for that version, and while I'm at it, comment stuff is one of the things I'll be playing with.

Ok, cool. Confused me when I started reading replies that were responding to the post above them..then I realized what had happened. :)
