D trolley vs. cellphone-using pedestrian at Chestnut Hill, shortly after 9 a.m.
Wicked Local Brookline reports the guy got lucky; slid under the trolley rather than becoming at one with it.

Nah, Because the ped was only risking his own life. We have nothing against Darwinian experiments.
If we want to look at it solely from a financial standpoint
it DOES affect all of us when someone does something like get run over by a train, because a lot of times they don't die.
Had this person been hit in such as way as to sustain massive head/neck trauma, it's your tax money that pays close to a million per year for the person who can't eat or carry on meaningful conversation or use the bathroom to be institutionalized.
(And no, I'm not someone who views things foremost in terms of money, but I'm providing this viewpoint because money often speaks to people who lack the empathy to recognize that any injury or death to a person hurts society.)
