Customers of the Needham Street McDonald's on the 7% they're being charged? They're not lovin' it, Wicked Local Newton reports.

Nerdy Kids Notice These Things
All I can say is that my younger son has long made a game of calculating totals and then figuring in the taxes, because he decided early on that calculating things was fun. From the age of about 5 or 6 on, he'd have been on to this in a flash.
I've also known people with certain varieties of autism, like my brother, to enjoy such activities.
All you need is a math whizkid or other person who likes that - somebody with nothing better to do than notice the discrepancies.
Sadly, the extra money
Sadly, the extra money they're collecting won't even go to the state. The sales tax that they have to sent the state is calculated each period on the business's total taxable sales, and you can bet they'll use the correct percentage then.
