Boston Police tweet State Street is shut as emergency crews try to help window washers on a dangling platform at 53 State St.
UPDATE: The Fire Department rescued the workers and is now trying to secure the platform as it awaits an engineering crew from Connecticut.

High drama...
...when they smashed the window to get window washer #2 into the building. The glass, glittering in the sunlight, cascaded to the street from 37 stories up. The Fox 25 chopper is still circling overhead. But isn't that building 53 State, not 57?
