Kenneally picks up endorsements from five more unions

Andrew Kenneally, running for one of the four open at-large seats on the Boston City Council, reports endorsements from the following unions: Boston Emergency Medical Services, Boston Public School Custodians, Local 1952, the Carmen's Union, Local 589, the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, District Council 35 and the Utility Workers Union of America, Local 369:

IUPAT District Council 35 supports Andrew Kenneally for Boston City Council At-Large because he knows what it takes to bring diverse groups of people together to solve problems. It's something he’s done throughout his career," said John Laughlin, District Council 35, Director of Political and Public Relations. "Kenneally is uniquely qualified to lead Boston back to prominence during these difficult economic times, and we look forward to working on Kenneally's behalf in the weeks to come."

Kenneally gets an endorsement from the Carmen's Union?

That's reason enough not to vote for him.

Dear Jonas Prag,
My dad worked for the T .. drove a bus .. for over 30 years in his efforts to raise a family of 5 kids. We all went to Boston public schools and turned out just fine. My dad always taught us to be respectful and grateful for whatever life gives us. He was grateful for the employment provided by the T. I don't think he loved his job .. but .. he was always grateful. So .. do me a favor JONAS PRAG .. it's bad enuff that you dog Andrew Kenneally for receiving an endorsement .. (good luck trying to figure out that logic) .. but .. it's even worse to see a schmuk like you disrespect and disparage hard working Bostonians like my father and thousands like him.

My mother worked for the MBTA for 25 & 1/2 years. She was a single parent and worked very hard though her years with the MBTA. The union is always struggling with the management to improve things for their members just like most other unions. Working for the MBTA isn't a cake walk and picking up an endorsement such as BFD, the Boston Police Superiors Union, BBPA, and this one means a lot. Andrew Kenneally had a brain tumor last year and successfully had it removed. He realized that he wanted to do something that was always in his heart. Andrew is one of the nicest guys I have ever met and most importantly he puts his heart into helping people and trying to make a difference.

P.S-the Carmen's Union is not going to be able to get anything out of this endorsement in return but it shows they believe in a candidate who is more qualified than most candidates and most importantly passionate about trying to make it a better city in which we cannot fault anyone for.
