If you were referring to the late senator, the photo was uploaded to the Flickr site back on July 25th. It wouldn't be a bad idea to dim the lights on the Zakim Bridge in his honor though.

Define cool

Cool in an arty, glowy, neo-brutalist way? Sure.

Cool in a we're making our waterfront more beautiful and accessible way? No.

Not only are there no people in the picture, there's no place for people in the picture.

Why there are no people in the photo

By adamg | Wed, 08/26/2009 - 8:22am

Because it was taken late at night.

There is work to make that stretch of the river accessible. Take the park and playground on the Charlestown side. Perfect? Hardly, when you go there you can tell how much more work remains to be done, but better than what was there before, and it's a start.

Yes, I admit I thought the photo was cool because I'm easily distracted by shiny things, not because I was thinking about urban-development and land-use issues.

Unless the people you know

Unless the people you know walk on water, I wouldn't expect to see anyone in that picture.

At first glance

I thought it was the mezzanine level of the Courthouse Station on the Silver Line... Very nice.
