That was no giant frog, that was a PETA protester at Faneuil Hall
By adamg on Thu, 09/03/2009 - 12:05pm
Scheduled to hop over to State Street to protest Brookstone's sale of live frogs.
Hmm, what about Mexican jumping beans?

And this will do what
And this will do what again?
PETA is a useless organization hats outgrown it's original mission. I do think what they're protesting against is wrong, but this kind of stupid stunt isn't going to do anything effective about it.
PETA needs to DIAF.
Skinny naked women
It will give them yet another chance to showcase anorexically skinny naked women as sexy vegans. Or something.
I know a number of vegans who are definitely not "skinny"
It's caloric intake, not whether the calories are vegan.
Also...naked? Huh?
I think the naked anorexic
I think the naked anorexic comment was referring to models that posed for PETA several years back in an anti-fur protest.
Apologies if this token link
Apologies if this token link has been posted before, but how apropos.
The point is to draw
The point is to draw attention to the issue, which you did for them with your comment.
MASSPIRG and Save the Pandas
MASSPIRG and Save the Pandas also draw attention to themselves, before you laugh at the geeky kid and walk past him.
There's better forms of advocacy that have better and lasting impact. PETA is in this for PETA, and using misguided people to do their dirty (Stupid) work. Like all similar groups, there's a point where they overstep their bounds, and cease to do a good service to what they purportedly support. They're there. Time for someone new.
from one anon to another
Did you click the wrong post to respond to? Who is laughing at the geeky kid? Totally confused here.
For every frog they save this way...
I will buy a six frog leg dinner at Petit Robert. That's three frogs killed per plate for every one they claim to have saved.
The Streisand Effect
This plan might backfire. I had no idea you could get a little "ecosystem" of frogs at Brookstone, so I took a look at their website. It's kinda nifty.
