We're number 1 - in health-insurance coverage

The Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center reports more people have health coverage here than anywhere else in the country.
And no pre-existing condition clauses! Of course, we also have the nation's longest wait to see a primary-care physician and, for people with families who find themselves self-employed, some pretty expensive premiums, even for coverage that could leave them liable for up to $10,000 a year in out-of-pocket expenses.

longest wait
As I recall, that article said we had long wait times for specialists, not primary care doctors. Correct me if I'm wrong; my recollection could be colored by my own stellar experience at my PCP. I call her office early in the morning when I have a health problem, and I almost always get an appointment that day. It takes less than a month to get an appointment for a physical. She's in a big, busy practice through the BI, and I couldn't be more pleased with the care we get.
