Anti-party patrols bust up two Mission Hill soirees

Boston Police report some officers from District B-2 are now assigned specifically to weekend party duty on Mission Hill and that they busted up two "loud, riotous disturbing parties" early this morning.

Around 12:15 a.m. officers responded to noise complaints at 45 Cherokee St.

After some time, an individual answered the door and stated to officers that he did not give consent for them to enter. Officers explained the reason for their presence and he was asked to step aside after he initially tried to close the door on officers. Officers entered the apartment and therein found 17 underage individuals drinking alcoholic beverages.

The four people on the lease, all 20, were arrested and charged with being keepers of a disorderly house; one was also charged with resisting arrest.

Around the same time, other officers investigating odd goings on a couple blocks away at 248 Parker Hill Ave. were spotted by people inside:

[A] large number of students fled through adjoining yards in their attempt to elude police action. Officers nevertheless located in excess of 60 people inside, most of whom were under the legal drinking age, drinking alcoholic beverages inside the party.

Four more arrests of lease holders, this time all 19, on charges of being keepers of a disorderly house.
