Free flu shots in Boston

Here is a list of places to get free shots against the seasonal flu in Boston, if you don't have the money to pay for one at a drug store or if your regular health center has either already run out or can't get enough vaccine in stock.

I think I'll pop over to St. Anthony's Shrine tomorrow, thank you!

Anybody know if they take donations?

Why take a flu shot away from the poor and donate to the church when you can get one for a few bucks at the drug store?

CVS's web site says they take most insurance for their flu shots. So you might not have to pay anything there.

My husband has BCBS HMO and I have Tufts Medicare Preferred HMO. We want to get both vaccines at the same time. Can you tell us where to go. I am a caremark prescription member

My doctor hardly ever has flu shots available, and most of the flu clinics are otherwise geared toward elderly or others who are home from 10am to 2pm. I'm one of those people who is supposed to be a priority for these things, but most years it is very much a challenge to obtain a shot.

I tried CVS last year - they ran out. I can try again this year, but it is very much tempting to spend a few minutes of a lunch break and get one a block away. I'll happily pay even though they are advertised as free, and will consider volunteering at a later clinic.

Besides, ever hear of herd immunity?

We did our annual flu shot round-up piece earlier this month and will be updating it as information becomes available.
