Columbus Day Comes First

Ugh.
As Adam pointed out earlier today, Lowe's in Dedham has started hawking the Christmas schlock in freakin' September. I'm sure there are others gearing up to similarly assault us.
Since they've started so early, I've begun my annual Quixotic (perhaps even Sisyphusian) attempt at curtailing the madness. If you feel like banging your head against a brick wall in concert with me, please feel free to join in.

Dewey Square and BJ's too
Last week, the farmer's market in Dewey Square was replaced
by some schlocky Disney "A Christmas Carol" display. And
BJ's in Stoneham has the same bipolar behavior, with Jesus
Mary, and Joseph staring down Spooky Town across the aisle.

Unfortunately, I recently
Unfortunately, I recently was at my local Home Depot and (also) unfortunately I saw the Christmas stuff in full effect. Christmas trees and all the crappy plastic Chinese-made cheapo doodads that make that time of year obnoxious.
I said, "Already?" to one of the may-I-help-yous and they just said "Yep!" and rolled their eyes.
15 Or So
My posting has brought about 15 or so responses promising posts of their own (5 or 6 actual so far.) Feel free to jump on the bandwagon, anyone! And THANKS!

Walmart meets Public Radio
Time to switch off WGBH on Saturdays, for the next three months.
Was listening today, and Brian O'Donovan (A Celtic Sojourn) is
already flogging his annual Christmas Extravaganza:

I mean, what's the diff between this and BJ's setting up dueling
Halloween and Christmas aisles in late September?
I'm on WUMB Saturday afternoons until it's safe to come back out.
Suldog, his email address is . Have at it.
