Peter Ajemian says it all comes down to pitching, and the Angels pitchers are simply healthier and more consistent.

And that's why you play the games
Seems like every year we read that the Angels are the better team on paper - and then we play them in the division series. You know the rest. Fingers crossed - see you at Game 3 next sunday - I'll be under the jumbotron! Go Sox!!!!
angel's curse
they can't beat boston.
The Sox ah the wicked
The Sox ah the wicked awesomest. We nevah get beat nevahs.
The homers need to realize the difference between regularly beating a team and regularly beating a franchise. Beyond Lester, who do we really trust on the mound? Daisuke? He of the three starts and the flaky season? The walking cortizone shot we once knew as Tim Wakefield? The not much healthier or more consistent Josh Beckett?
What about the lineup? Which Ortiz or Drew shows up? How many at-bats will Tito waste on Tek? Can Lowell/Kotchman hit above .200?
I'm not saying the Angels don't have their problems, but they seem to be cruising right now and have far less to sort out.
red sox in 4
lester and beckett will be fine and the boys will hit.
Until the Angels prove they
Until the Angels prove they can beat the Sox in October, then the Sox must be favored. The Angels dominated the Sox in the '08 season, and we know how that worked out.
