Possible hydrogen leak at BU research center
Fire crews have evacuated the BU Photonics Center on Babbitt Street because of an alarm indicating a leak of flammable hydrogen, Local 718 tweets.
Channel 4 reports about 50 people were in the building at the time.

I always wondered when that
I always wondered when that would happen. There are gas tanks all over the place. Hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen... Its a great place to relax if you need to pass some time while in the area BTW. Restrooms are always clean.
And Mayor Menino doesn't
And Mayor Menino doesn't think Boston needs a hazmat team. Why do people keep voting for this guy?
Not quite what he says
As I type this, BU seems not to have exploded, so whatever happened last night was resolved, no?
Here's Menino's argument (note, I'm not posting this as a Menino supporter; I still haven't decided whom to vote for), as made in the debate the other night:
Boston actually has five hazmat units. However, they're not simply sitting around waiting for a hazmat emergency, but are available for other duties in the time when there are no chemical spills or whatever.
And my question is: What is wrong with this approach?
