Should State Sen. Anthony Galluccio resign his seat in light of his latest run in with the law?

Also I think it would be
Also I think it would be useful to comment as to why we voted the way we did.
I voted Yes. A State Senator is allowed to have flaws in character but the Senator has used his connections in the past to cover up his problem and can potentially hurt people due to his neglect.
As a constituent, I've seen
As a constituent, I've seen Gallucio do some good work, and had some thing where I didn't agree with him; on balance he's been an OK councilor and senator. But a big part of his style and appeal is that he presents himself as a basic, honest, local fellow who you can trust to be concerned about everyday stuff that matters to everyday people.
To me, his behavior suggests an attitude that's 180 degrees away from that - he's acting like it's OK for him to dodge the law, wangle pardons, and generally not take responsibility for his actions even when they jeopardize others. He's very lucky that he hasn't seriously injured or killed anyone, and unless he takes a long look in the mirror and gets some help, there's an increasing possibility that he will someday.
Hence, my Yes vote - he needs to get his act together as a person before he can continue being an elected representative.
Yes, but it won't happen
If the courts don't give him a sentence (and they won't), he should step away from office for a term or two. Then campaign against an incumbent to earn his seat back.
