Copies of BRA correspondence on a Harvard project in Allston

Harry Mattison posts copies of BRA correspondence related to the Charlesview project that he got under a public-records request. As is usual with such stuff, the BRA gave him photocopies of printouts of the e-mail, rather than, oh, a CD with text.

Just in the first couple of pages, it's interesting to see BRA hostility toward a neighborhood group.

I'd be interested in doing

I'd be interested in doing OCR on this, but I have no interest in signing up for Scribd. If anyone else has interest in me doing this and would like to send me the files, please let me know!

FYI: this BRA project manager got cheap land from the city

You'll see many emails to and from Jay Rourke, project manager at the BRA who is overseeing the BRA's Article 80 review of the project.

He also made it into the newspaper last month as the BRA employee who got a sweetheart deal for land from the city:

Another property, which McCrea highlighted during the debate, went to James Rourke, who works for the city’s development agency. He and his Hyde Park neighbor got a 10,000-square-foot property for $5,000 in June. It was assessed at $99,400.

Really nice

He called his boss "gum in his hair". I bet Glavin is going to love reading that.

This guy is a fool and a clown.
