OK, I swear this is the last Johnny Damon post (well, of the night, anyway). The Chief once again uses his photographic memory (or his Lexis/Nexis account, your choice) to play Dan Shaughnessy against himself - apparently, Shaughnessy doesn't think anybody will remember anything he wrote three weeks ago, let alone in April.

Damon Is No Demon - Boston Padres
You Beantown fanatics need to point your barrel at the real idiot and it's not Damon. Why are you so surprised that he would follow the money? They all follow the money.
The real target should be Lucky Lucchino and his loser ways. He's doing to Boston what he did so very effectively in San Diego. Take a team with very good talent and tear them apart. And with two stoogies as co-GM's under him they will no way be able to stand up to him and do the right thing.
Next banner World Series Boston will hoist will be after we're all long gone from this world.
Money or Winning
I was watching Johnny Damon speak to the Yankees, andas it turns out, there was a "Mystery Team" that gave more money than the Yankees. JD says the reason he went was to win games, because to him a whole year since their last world series win is quite a washout.
