The Boston Fire Department blames "careless disposal of smoking materials" for a one-alarm fire late this afternoon at 104 Robey St. in Dorchester that did an estimated $75,000 in damage and left six adults and two children without a place to sleep tonight.

that neighborhood has had a lot of fires

most of it was burned out between Dudley and Clifton. In the 5 or so acres to the south, there were maybe 4-5 houses. They tore those ones down to build the Kroc Corps Community Center.
