As readers who are up at this hour undoubtedly have already found out, the Globe has reviewed over 1,500 of the 5,000 emails released today. This is the third set of emails to be released.

Flaherty and Yoon are running against Rob Consalvo and not Mayor Menino. That is only if the mayor can bribe all the other councilors to vote for Consalvo for council president. Shouldn't the people vote for the next mayor and not the mayor himself pick and choose for us?

Did McCrea have a valid point about corruption?

Ronald Wilburn, the key witness in federal corruption cases against former state Senator Dianne Wilkerson and Councilor Chuck Turner, has identified Kineavy as Wilkerson's sole contact in the Menino administration in her alleged effort to secure a liquor license for a Roxbury nightclub. link

The city has said it would be expensive to retrieve much of the deleted e-mail, which would be available only by recovering data from the two hard drives Kineavy used over the last two years, but that it will retrieve "everything possible,'' turn it over to investigators, and make it public. Also, the city says it has now turned over to Secretary of State William F. Galvin a hard drive containing copies of Kineavy's two hard drives. link

Not a surprise

This is not really news to anyone following the race. King had allready endorsed Yoon when he was an actual candidate and Flynn has lent his words of support to Flaherty in interviews. Maybe if this was 1984 it would be a game changer but unfortunately Larry Bird stil isn't playing basketball nor is Bornin the USA at the top of the charts so it is nothing more than a recycled endorsement.

Ray Flynn is not walking through that door, voters. Mel King is not walking through that door, and Mayor Curley is not walking through that door. And if you expect them to walk through that door, they're going to be gray and old. What we are is young, exciting, hard-working, and we're going to improve. People don't realize that, and as soon as they realize those three guys are not coming through that door, the better this town will be for all of us because there are young guys in this campaign campaiging their asses off. I wish we had $90 million to buy media time. I wish we could buy the world. We can't; the only thing we can do is work hard, and all the negativity that's in this town sucks. I've been around when Mike Dukakis was booed. I've been around when the Pope was booed. And it stinks. It makes the greatest town, greatest city in the world, lousy. The only thing that will turn this around is being upbeat and positive like we are in that Floon Headquarters... and if you think I'm going to succumb to negativity, you're wrong. You've got the wrong guy heading this campaign.
