Oh, God, look who's advertising on the T now

The Boston Coalition of Reason has subway ads up that invite you to learn more about the 40 million Americans it says are "good without God."

Well
As long as they don't cry foul if a church wants to buy advertising space next to them!
I'm all for dueling ad
I'm all for dueling ad campaigns. Better than having alcohol ads being directed at vehicles (rear of buses)
I'd like to see an ad for Hell, at least
I hate that creepy billboard that is along 95? The Pike? now I forget, somewhere down there, that tells me that Jesus is the One Best Way or whatever - it's like they want you to crash & die while reading it so you can meet The Man Himself a lot sooner than you'd planned.
We need to talk...
Listen guys, I like being a humanist, but this is just the most annoying part of any religion - trying to convert people. Just be happy with who you are and what you've got.
Re: We need to talk...
Amen to that!
I agree with the other
I agree with the other comment that said that the most annoying thing about most religions is the recruitment, this makes this group more like a religion then they would care to admit.
I checked their website and I see no reason why they can not have a mission without going after God. I found this on their website and used selective bolding and italicizing to show how they can easily still have their group without going after religion.
On another note many atheists and others tend to use the word "God" with a lower case g "god". I found it interesting to see that they have used "God" with an upper case G in their ad campaign. To me that says that yeah they know he is up there but they are ignoring him as opposed to (what I assume their message really is) saying there is no god get over it.
My impression
I'm an atheist and I do tend to use the lowercase g, unless I want to special care not to offend. (Say, with my parents.) I'm guessing that's what they're doing here.
Also, I think the overall point of the campaign is like GLBT pride: for insiders, it's ok to be one of us; for outsiders, we exist and you will have to accept that.
There is no god, get over it.
