Innocent, etc.

I for one hope this guy does some serious time. The taxpayers should be furious, but so are we. I pay 9+2% into our pension system, and this scumbag was planning on stealing from us as well. Anyone who thinks we condone this behavior is sadly mistaken. Most of us work well into our 60’s before we retire, and when we do, we have sustained various injuries from fire duty throughout our career. National standards indicate that firefighters, not imposters, I mean “Inspectors” like Mr. Arroyo, suffer at least one injury per year. Some are minor others are more severe requiring major surgery. The most common examples being rotator cuffs and shoulder repair to total knee replacement. Over a 30+ year career members who “actually go to fires” not carry a clip board are subjected to various carcinogens which are the products of combustion. This results in a higher cancer rate among firefighters than the public. The pension system, and more specifically the disability pension system was put in place to assist honest firefighters who did their job honorably and suffered these injuries during their firefighting career, not as a means to finance your body building competitions.

We need more firefighters like you speaking truth to "firefighters" like Arroyo. Cops and firefighters both have a besmirched reputation in this town. As always, it's just a Few Bad Apples, but when the unions start circling the wagons... well, from here, support looks like support.

Of this great conspiracy would be a twenty-nine year old clerk. I wonder what she stood to gain by perjuring herself? And did she have no supervisor? And what of Dr. Mahoney, who medically vouched for the disability claims?
Stay tuned- I guess.
