Latest from my sources is that Boston Fire has released the
scene, and that the smoked train is currently being moved from Arlington to the siding at Blanford.
In the meantime, all eastbound (inbound) service is being diverted to North Station and Lechmere, apparently to avoid the "giant circle of trains" that would otherwise occur between Boylston eastbound and Park westbound via Government Center because of the westbound (outbound) stoppage at Arlington.
However, I've been told that there will be about 10 to 15 minute delays for the next half-hour or so.
