Another fire on the Red Line

Boston Fire tweets there was a small track fire on the Red Line outbound at Downtown Crossing shortly after midnight. No injuries.

outbound?
aren't *both* directions considered "outbound" from Downtown Crossing? IIRC the signs say "Ashmont/Braintree" and "Alewife via Park" rather than "Inbound" and "Outbound".
nope, there is inbound-outbound...
if you are going "in" towards another part of the little square in the middle of the map, it's still inbound. the other direction is outbound. so from downtown crossing, on the red line, alewife would be inbound (because you go IN to park first) and ashmont is outbound.
