Not so fast

The current spike in cases has plateaued. That doesn't mean that there won't be further waves yet to come, particularly since the CDC has had some trouble getting even us susceptables our bugshot.

H1N1 doesn't play by the normal flu rules. It has been building and ebbing in far less predictable ways than the typical seasonal flu - it is popping up pretty randomly here and there, rather than playing by the handbook where flu bugs that start in Asia head east on a fairly predictable timetable.

They're also telling people to stay away if they have symptoms

Doctors are also telling people with flu symptoms not to come to the ER unless they're vomiting blood or can't breathe. So, that could keep ER visits down a little, too.

The threat 'plateaus' just

The threat 'plateaus' just as people are getting livid about a distinct lack of vaccine they were promised for months on end? How convenient!
