Six Lynn men and a Revere man were indicted yesterday on charges they punched and kicked Jose Alicea so severely outside Club 33 on Aug. 20 that he died.
The seven will stand trial in Suffolk Superior Court on second-degree murder and other charges related to the brawl. Five of their associates also face a variety of charges for taking part in the fight with Alicea and three of his friends, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office says, adding they are scheduled for arraignment tomorrow.
Prosecutors charge the group of 12 - all clad in black tuxedos and red vests following a funeral in Lynn - attacked after Alicea got into an argument with them as the club was letting out for the night.
Charged with second-degree murder: Jason "JD" Benalfew, 26, Justin "GD" Cooke, 24, Johan Garcia, 28, Ruskyn Garcia, 25, and Michael Welch, 27, all of Lynn, and Anthony "Pretty Ricky" Villalobos, 21, of Revere.
Facing assault and battery charges: Ramona "Munchie" Berroa, 28, Jose "Bernie" Castro, 22, Jorge Encarnacion, Ramon Gonzalez Llavona, also known as Frank "Mac" Martinez, 38, of Lynn and Miguel "Chino" Flaquer, 25, of Malden.
Innocent, etc.

How about they ship them up to Middlesex for the trial so Suffolk County residents don't have to pay for life imprisonment x 6 ?
on what grounds?

I assume that the trial happens in Suffolk County because the crime happened there. Also, the counties really don't exist independently of the state budget. Also, people sentenced to life imprisonment serve their time in state prison, not county jails.
btw, Revere is in Suffolk County and Lynn is in Essex County. Only the Malden defendant (charged with less serious crimes) is from Middlesex County.
in that case

send them to CT so they can get a fair trial, animals.
Huh?

Neither the crime nor the suspects have any connection to CT, to my knowledge. So I don't understand what you mean.
