Is all powerful Oz behind Senate Web site?

WBUR reports on KennedySeat.com, the anonymously penned (um, typed) Web site that's keeping tabs on the Senate race like nobody's business. Reporter Monica Brady-Myerov gets the writer to dish a few details about himself (he's 29 and worked on Beacon Hill) and reports the site has put the fear of God into at least some people working on campaigns:

... But [the anonymity] is also a concern, according to an aide on one of the Senate campaigns who doesn't want to be named for fear of crossing the influential Web site. ...

Which gets a total of 550 visitors a day, most of them, apparently, campaign insiders.

I think not knowing who he

I think not knowing who he is helps his credibility. Oftentimes people focus on the person who writes the story rather then the story itself. His credibility is built by his keen observations.

In the campaign world the site is important. When it comes to the election it is meaningless, those 500 views are campaign junkies. They would have found the info somehow.

As for who he is, he obviously is not hiding. He is 29, worked on the hill, ran for public office but never held it. He has also dropped gems all over the place on Twitter and his page hinting at things he has worked on and the side he came out on. For instance there was a discussion on public financing of campaigns and he was working on the hill at the time. He also has a distinct writing style. Liberal/Democrat etc. I am sure his friends know who he is.

one possibility

Matt O'Malley?

Good guess, but one strike against that theory

He's a hired hand for Steve Pagliuca right now.

Plus he is too old, he is

Plus he is too old, he is either 30 or 31 according to my calculations. Being 29 is impossible.

Another guess

If I had to guess, and I know about as much on this as I do molecular chemistry (which is less than 0), I might guess former Mass. Speaker's Press person David Guarino. I say that because he is one of the most interesting Mass political figures to follow on Twitter and he seems more than capable of running such a website. Probably not him but he deserves attention as someone worth following on Twitter, etc.

Too old , he is over

Too old , he is over 35...
