City Hall agreement paves way for return of burned out Fenway restaurants

By adamg - 11/21/09 - 10:58 am

The Globe reports a jawboning session called by City Councilor Mike Ross got the partners who own the burned Peterborough Street building to agree to rebuild - and to let the old restaurants back in.

Hmm. I think your post - part is "to be determined". I am skeptical the ol' restaurants will be back in business, or at least the majority of them. I expect they'll do a multi-story building with maybe a few retail / restaurants on the first floor. It's the "best, highest" use of the space.

I agree with John

Sounds like after 5 hours the owners finally figured they'd give the old verbal OK to lots of things as long as Mike let them escape. Interesting - hardly ever hear from your city councilors unless they are running for office - saw him promoting green tech the other day at a meeting (all good stuff and kudos), robo called me today to endorse Capuano and now this (again - best of intents and kudos) - but didn't I read that he would run for Capuano's seat if Capuano got the senate seat? Am I seeing a pattern here? Hmmm....
