Getting piggy on the streets of Roslindale

Everybody knows the Unwritten Law of Boston Parking: You Shovel It, You Own It. Even Tom Menino is willing to give people 48 hours of cone/chair/bathtub protected space after a storm.

So what to make of the people in Roslindale who are now protecting parts of completely snowless streets - like residents of Knoll (above) and Glendower streets (and no doubt others)? Extra bonus fun: Note the car parked in front of a hydrant.
