We're getting cows

More than 100 painted cow statues, scattered around downtown and the Back Bay, June through September, to be exact. Or so I've herd. It'll be udderly mooving, so please don't beef about it.

In the name of all that is good in the world, NO. PLEASE. NO.
Lived in Chicago for several years.
Dealt with those ridiculous cows for months on end.
*shiver.*
Tell me it's a lie. Please.
Belfast, Maine has bears
Belfast, Maine has bears each year. Or at least they used to -- the web site ends with 2003.
What a load of bull
OK, Adam - I think you've milked that enough.
Why?
Why cows? Shouldn't they be, like, um, lobsters or beans or something?
Fishies
I remember seeing fish all over Nashville:

So what's the relationship between the cow parade cows and this cow?

Oh, cod damnit!
The first time Boston did this, which I think was the year after the whole cow thing took over Chicago and New York, they had painted codfish.
Was it last year, that they had whales - which cause all kinds of trouble on Newbury Street because such things are just not done there?
Has Boston haddock up to here with this?
Here it is: Cavalcade of Cod.
