You don't bring me flowers ...

A co-worker (yes, my co-workers are chatty today), reports problems with 1-800-Flowers yesterday and today:

I think the storm Sunday snarled all their deliveries out east. I was supposed to have flowers delivered to my mom on Monday, they still aren't there. Any call to the number gets hung up because they are so busy and I am now number 497 in an e-chat queue, down from 792. They guarantee 100% satisfaction. Right now, I am at 0%.

Anybody else not see flowers show up?

Update: Co-worker checks back in:

wireless network blinked and my connection to 1800 flowers reset. now back at 795 in queue. oh well. got up to 329.

A week early

A coworker was delighted last Thursday (2/9) when her Valentine's Day flowers from her husband arrived at the office. Her husband was furious at 1-800-Flowers because they weren't supposed to be delivered until the real Valentine's Day. A second order was received on Valentine's Day to make up for the mistake. All's well that ends well, in her case, but her hubby is still miffed.

I also ordered flowers (3 roses for $50) to send to my girlfriend, only to have her not receive them on Valentine's Day, but rather today, the 15th. I have been trying to call, e-mail, etc. without any response or luck. I hate you 1-800-Flowers.
