Davis Square station shut, then opened

Somerville orders station shut because leaking water was taking out emergency communications:
... City officials found corroded equipment lockers with water running down the walls and pooling on the floor. ...
But see the comments on how the station was open today.
Ezra Ball wonders how the leak could have gone unfixed for so long:
Now, the water that has been trickling onto the platform through the light fixtures for probably 9 - 12 months now, even when it's not raining or snowing, might have been a clue that there was a problem brewing. ...

The station was open by 9:15 when I ambled on over to the square for my commute. Lotsa people in orange hanging around the back of the southbound platform.
My guess is they did enough work on the emergency equipment or whatever to satisfy the city, and re-open the station.
My fear is they just did the bare minimum, and won't bother with addressing the main problem of the structural leaks.

Well, I also expected just the bare minimum, but the morning after it re-opened, even though it was raining (and beginning to snow), there was no leaking through the light fixtures, no water on the floor. Was it really that easy of a fix that they waited all this time to make?
(And even though the leaks seemed fixed the next morning, there was a disabled train, so I was still late for work!)
alewife is pretty much the same

i haven't noticed that the leaks come through light fixtures at alewife, exactly. but what is it with the t and leaky roofs? they put out flower pots to catch the drips on every rainy day.and the parking garage is riddled with holes, too. it's pathetic. come to think of it, i go to umass boston and the whole campus is collapsing into the underground parking dungeon, i mean, garage.
