JP panhandler stabs man over dollar

Panhandler asks guy walking into the Tropical Market for a dollar. Guy says he has no money. When he comes out with a purchase, the panhandler accuses him of lying and then stabs him several times in the arm and chest, police report, adding the alleged stabber was picked up not long after - and that the victim was taken to a local hospital.

In other violent incidents yesterday, a double shooting in Mattapan left one dead, two teens in Mattapan were robbed at gunpoint by a gang of five, a man started throwing bricks at a downtown office building (more details on these) and a gunfight erupted at Dudley station. Oh, yeah, and we had that guy smashing cars in Chinatown until the cops plugged him.
