What Happened to Our Blogs on Boston.com?

Does anyone know what happened to the news page on Boston.com? It went from featuring blogs from the unwashed masses (like http://www.commuterrant.com) in the sidebar to now only featuring Boston Globe-sanctioned blogs.

I noticed that last night
I can only surmise they were upset that the commoners' blogs were getting more traffic than their own.
From a business standpoint, it makes sense
First, a caveat: Despite what some people think, I have no relationship at all with boston.com (I write for the Globe's City Weekly, which is not the same thing at all), so the following is strictly my own hypothesis, not the Voice of Morrissey Boulevard:
The Globe has a lot of blogs now, so it makes sense for them to point to their own blogs, rather than outsiders'. They do have a rudimentary blog directory on their blog page, which does still point to non-Globe blogs (compare it to my directory). Plus, finding interesting links to slap on the page took enough time to make it worth it to stop doing so.
But, hey, just more of an opportunity for some other site to point to the interesting stuff local bloggers write. Somebody should really jump on that idea :-).
What I don't understand is that they obviously have an automated system for putting the latest headline from each blog on their blog page, so why didn't they replicate that on the news page instead of putting up those static links?
Too bad...
Yeah, I was lucky enough to be listed on the blog page for a while. And someone liked me because I was getting pretty regular (a few times a month) mentions on the News page. I liked reading other Boston-area blogs. However, most of the time the stuff had been covered in Universal Hub first. I guess that's a better source for bloggers and blog readers.
But You're Still a Sidekicker!
I noticed the change to the Boston.com blogs, too--and sorry to see it, since I got a few posts on that news front as well. But at least you're still a Sidekick blogger (as am I). Does that count a little?
huh
that's so Web 1.0 of them...
I can't even get listed
I can't even get listed under their "Other blogs in the Boston area" section, so I really don't care. Not that I'm bitter about it or anything.
