An IT department without voicemail

Most people at City Hall are hard workers who do well by their city. But then there are those slackers who, C1tyw0rker reports, manage to do things like get everybody's voicemail taken away:

... Well turns out some city employee, probably a member of the aformentioned chairwarmers, didn't return a phonecall from the mayor after he left the chairwarmer several messages. So the mayor decided to take voicemail away from the ENTIRE city. ... So until recently I had to deal with those written messages with the little checkboxes for "urgent" or "returned your call" I got so sick of them I told our office secratary to just email me my messages from now on. That is if it's one of the three days a week she decides to come to work.
