Use it every day
I drive through it nearly every day as my primary route to work, though not this particular section. Still, I have seen what the shoddy work has caused. There's this one door on the southbound side of the 93 tunnel that looks like a river of mud has cascaded through it every night. Even the brand new concrete embankment and the stairs near the door are showing wear. Pieces have broken off and such. It's not structural or dangerous to drivers, just aesthetic, but it shouldn't be that way for a 2-year-old tunnel.
Anyway, I voted no in the poll. I haven't felt safe driving through that tunnel system since the leaks were announced.
This makes riding the T look
This makes riding the T look a whole lot better.
I'm glad that I ride the T,
I'm glad that I ride the T, though I've been amazed at how lousy their service has been lately. On the Red Line from Central to Fields Corner around 11:00 today, the train repeatedly stopped, including a lengthy pause around Park Street. Couldn't make otu the PA system, but I caught something about restoring power to the train. You'd think that on a day of increased demand, they'd try to have service just a bit above their low average...
But those complaints are pretty petty compared ot the tragedy of last night. Condolences to the DelValle family on their loss.
sinking feeling
I never really do feel safe driving through those sunken tunnels. Try to avoid them as mucha s possible.
